Die \u00c4rzte and Die Toten Hosen are providing four concerts in August 2022 at Tempelhof Airport in Berlin for a laboratory<\/a>. The project initiators Cradle to Cradle NGO, KKT GmbH – Kikis Kleiner Tourneeservice, Loft Concerts GmbH and Side by Side Eventsupport GmbH, together with numerous partners from the field, are implementing the most climate- and resource-positive products, processes and innovations possible in the Tempelhof laboratory<\/a>, testing them and testing their scalability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

What do we want to achieve?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The aim is to show how cradle to cradle solutions that already exist today can lead to a circular economy that offers economic, ecological and social added value for society as a whole – and how, derived from this, major events with a positive impact on people and the environment can also become standard.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

For the first time, the four concerts attempted to optimize all products and processes through C2C innovations. Where this was not possible due to a lack of technical implementation options or for cost reasons, the best possible ecological alternatives were implemented. All measures are explained by an information concept about Cradle to Cradle, circularity and sustainability for visitors, politicians and the event industry on site and on this website.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The project modules<\/strong><\/p>\n

The results of the measures will be published transparently as a multilingual digital guidebook<\/a> in November 2022. The impact measurement for this was carried out to make the effects visible and scalable in the form of saved CO\u2082 emissions, lower waste generation due to recyclability, positive social impact or higher material health. This creates a blueprint that event organizers worldwide can access to continue the pioneering work of the Tempelhof Laboratory. At the same time, this identifies innovation potential at product and process level as well as missing framework conditions that impede or prevent scaling. These findings were bundled in a report<\/a> with recommendations for business and politics.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The other project components of Labor Tempelhof include a transformation platform<\/a>, through which networks can be established and experiences and ideas exchanged in order to drive the overall societal transformation toward circular economy and action, as well as a C2C exhibition<\/a> with event series<\/a> in Berlin until 2024.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Labor Tempelhof<\/a> is more than four concerts. The project shows how circular and sustainable innovations available on the market are applicable in the event context, but also in urban development and all industrial and commercial sectors. The initiators do not save the world with four concerts. But they move from talk to action, creating a beacon that can serve as a role model – for the events industry and far beyond. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
